Teacher Evaluations Must Be Fair – J. Wilson

Wilson, John.  “Teacher Evaluation Must Be Fair.” Education Week.  January 25, 2012.  Retrieved January 25, 2012.  http://blogs.edweek.org/edweek/john_wilson_unleashed/2012/01/teacher_evaluations_must_be_fair.html

There are many things that can impact a students’ test score and the corporate reformers are pushing the use of flawed tests to judge teachers because it is the only data they can count.  Fairness is one of the most important characteristics a teacher can show a student.  “Using a single test on a single day for a high stakes decision like teacher evaluation is malpractice and attacks that core value of fairness.”
